Since Costa Rica is a small country, distances can be short from one place to another and the visitor can see in one day the 3 following beaches : Hermosa Beach, Jacó Beach and Herradura Beach
Playa Hermosa or Hermosa Beach
Located only five kilometers from Jaco , the Hermosa Beach it is one of the best havens for surf experts, with waves reaching up to 13 feet in height.. For those who are tired of surfing, Playa Hermosa is perfect for resting in the Sun with a good book. You can also take a day of travel to the Manuel Antonio national park, which is one of the most famous National Parks in Costa Rica, 45 minutes away from the Hermosa beach, also you can visit the Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge that protects the Lora turtles marine which come to nest there each year.
Jacó Beach
It is the closest beach to San Jose which is kmown to be a bustling beach for its festive atmosphere ,a relaxed attitude , lively life night, restaurants and great amount of aquatic activities.
There are plenty of opportunities for tours and activities in Jaco such as ATV, boat and kayak, rafting, safaris, horseback riding, fishing and surfing. The capture of waves is one of the most popular activities in the area.
Those who want something quiet, can visit the Manuel Antonio National Park and the Punta Leona Wildlife Refuge. Other natural attractions nearby include the Reserva Biologica Carara.
Playa Herradura
