ABOUT THE ACTIVITY

Poás Volcano is the most visited national park in Costa Rica. It features two impressive craters. One of them is active while the other holds a beautiful crater lake. The active crater often has smoke rising out of it and a muddy lake on its bottom. The beautiful crater lagoon is surrounded by a cloud forest, with variety of birds and plants. After the volcano, a delicious lunch and the famous coffee tour at Doka Estate, the coffee plantation. The third stop is the beautiful Grecia, considered one of the cleanest towns in Latin America and the home of the only metal church in Central America. Our last stop is at Sarchi, known as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans because of its well-equipped workshops, we will have time to see the artistic work on the oxcart (one of Costa Rica’s famous symbols) and shop for special souvenirs.
