Cocos Island is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, about 300 miles away from the coast of Costa Rica. It is a medium-sized island, entirely covered in dense tropical forests. There are many rivers, creeks and bays on the island, the most famous being Chatham Bay and Wafer Bay. The island is especially known for being one of the 10 best places for scuba diving, and one of its main attractions is the sighting of large schools of hammerhead sharks and many other species. The terrestrial part is very interesting too, although quite impenetrable. There are several versions that tell of several hidden treasures on the island, hidden by of pirates who stalked the coast between Peru and Mexico in the 17 and 18 centuries. We offer 8-10 days trips to the island, focusing on diving, which is the main attraction.
