A magnificent treasure in the middle of the virgin forest

About a one hour drive through the Guanacaste mountain range you will find the majestic Miravalles volcano. This colosal volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica – the energy from its activity is actually used in Costa Rica as a geotermal project to generate electricity! During your visit to the volcano you will get to see gysers, hot springs that due to the surrounding pressure and heat, give off steam and sprey water upward, creating one of the most rarely sited beauties of the world. From there you will be able to horseback ride or to be carried by a horse drawn, to get to the forest where you will be able to hike and observe several waterfalls, lush rainforest and wildlife. Relax after the hike in a hotsprings, and treat yourself to a natural volcanic mud body treatment. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to your hotel.
