Our driver will meet you outside the terminal to take you to Arenal area in the northern part of the Alajuela province, close to the Nicaraguan border. This area offers beautiful and varied scenery refreshed by gentle tropical rain that keeps the land green almostall year round. The lowlands host gushing rivers, hot springs, lagoons, remote national parks, and plentiful wildlife.

(Breakfast, lunch) After breakfast, a day tour to Caño Negro, an abundant and plentiful wildlife refuge, where you can meet many birds and animals; monkeys, sloths, caimans, lizards, bats and more. 3 hour guided cruise from Los Chiles (a rustic town 5 km from the border of Nicaragua) on Río Frío river while enjoying the rich and diversified vegetation and wildlife.

(Breakfast) Early in the morning you will hike through the forest to Arenal Volcano to see the lava flow, plants, wildlife and Arenal Lake. See and hear the glowing rocks of lava tumbling down the mountain. After the tour you’ll continue towards Playa Conchal / Flamingo beach.
