The Corcovado National Park is located in Osa Peninsula, on the corner of South-West of the country and is considered to be the most important  reserve in the country and  a site of undeniable beauty. The virgin forest captivates the visitors as it presents scents and colours of the jungle. This Park has miles of hidden waterfalls and natural beaches, arousing the curiosity of travelers in the world.

Corcovado National Park is a home of the largest and most unique primary tropical rainforest in the world, and also hosts a plethora of species of animals and plants in danger. It is also a  home of the beautiful Red Lapa, the Resplendent Quetzal, the Tree Red-Eyes Frog and the Tapir,which is the Central America and South America’s largest land mammals.

Corcovado National Park was created in 1975 to protect this glorious region of gold seekers and logging and it is today one of the most popular ecotouristic destinations. Since it is a bit isolated and difficult,to get to’ it has been hardly touched.

The Park is extremely hot, humid and wet dew to many rains almost all year long, but it’s fun to take walks along this dense vegetation which opens onto wonderful beaches. With its untouched natural beauty the park lets the visitor experience nature in the finest  way and promises an incredible adventure for those who dare open path along this amazing region.

Corcovado National Park became a very popular destination. There are 4 ranger stations strategically located. A guided tour is the best way to observe the Park since there are many wild animals that prowl by all parts. Hire a guide in Drake Bay or in Puerto Jimenez and have perfect, adventurous vacation.
